Worst User Interface Ever


Congratulations to “This American Life” for the worst user interface ever.  This show is broadcast on many NPR radio stations.  Here in the greater Silicon Valley area it runs at noon Saturdays.  Now the desktop version is not so bad (unless you’re looking for a specific show):

The only way to see what’s under each of those little icons is to hover the mouse pointer.  Sadly, there is no way to hover on an iPad:

Sigh.  Yes, there is a mobile app.  They’re charging $4.99 for it.  And NPR folks complain about price-gouging in the private sector.  Two thumbs down.
